I do hate to argue with Stephen Fry, given that intellectually, he is as far above me as I am above an amoeba, but Cruithne technically orbits the sun, not Earth. Cruithne's most accurate title, in relation to Earth that is, is a "co-orbital satellite". So Alan's right - Earth only has one moon. (Doesn't mean this isn't a great QI moment, though.)
